Mike Divided by Zero and I Ate Too Much Turkey
Mike's work computer had a meltdown the day before he had to leave for another job...
He was up all night trying to fix the problem. Sometime in the wee hours of the morning, he discovered that his drilling program had somehow gone back into a previous well's data and DIVIDED BY ZERO!!!! (On September 21, 1997, a divide by zero error on board the USS Yorktown (CG-48) Remote Data Base Manager brought down all the machines on the network, causing the ship's propulsion system to fail.)
In other news....
I ate so much food (as well as non-food items like chocolate and poppycock) on Christmas day that later that evening I was over the toilet bowl almost heaving out the lot. I have NEVER pigged out so hard in my life and was totally disgusted with myself. Mike tried to get me to take some Gas-X and I was so full, the thought of eating them nearly had me puking. Shudder. But, the Gas-X went down, and Christmas 2009 passed. I divided by zero on Christmas Day. LOL!!!
1. The last couple of days my legs have been so sore from training that I haven't been able to squat to clean the kitty litter -- I have had to bend at the waist. Heh-heh.
2. The last load of clothes I washed were covered with a mysterious white fluff....I got that sinking feeling -- what had I forgotten to take out? At the bottom of the washing machine was my pair of ear-warmers. Who knew they were stuffed with white fluffiness?
3. Why does biting into a piece of chicken gristle gross me out so much, but eating a piece of bacon doesn't?

An update!!!! Yay! I guess computer problems are a good reason.
What do you mean, chocolate is a "non-food"???!!! Such heresy! Wash your mouth out with chicken gristle, right now young lady! Chocolate, good chocolate mind you, is the perfect food. There's a shop in Inglewood that roasts their own chocolate, and will make chocolates and truffles and other chocolate stuff to order, for pickup on a few hours notice. ohhhhhhh, pity they're not open right now.
Glad to hear Xmas dinner 2009 passed ok. You'll just run it off in a few days anyway. Eating store bought bacon *ought* to gross you out, so many nitrates, and nitrites, and colouring, and dye, and glycol, and wax, and I don't know what else all.
all was well till i got to the gristle part....gack. LOL.
glad you had an awesome pigout of a christmas even if it mean hugging the porceline throne, haha.
Just close your eyes and pretend it is bacon!!
oh how I missed theee!!!
I won't eat pork- unless it is bacon. I won't eat processed meat- unless it is bacon.
I know all the bad stuff about bacon, and yet I loooves it!
That extra Christmas weight is a good thing- it is like a wee boost of motivation to get your arse going in the New Year! At least that is what I told myself...haha!
Let's try this again and proofread it before posting.
Julie,
Were you and your dog running in Blairmore this morning?
Nope -- wasn't running this morning. But I'll be going out later today. Still haven't decided if I'm going to man up and run outside or wuss out and run on the tready. :) :) Too cold for my poochie today! :)
I always run up the highway from Frank towards Coleman then back. Depends how long the run is... Hills I do up the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre hill.
Well, then maybe I saw you a few minutes ago on the highway...dang if I can remember where....maybe near the cemetary...
Yes! That would be me -- I ran almost to the hospital then turned around and came back. I was layered up like the Michelin man. Hahahahahahahahahaha!! It was nice to run into the sun that was in Blairmore. :)
You ran outside! Excellent. I knew you would. The suspense was wondering when, where, how fast, how deep the snow was, Its texture and thickness, your heart rate, steps per minute, length of stride, and averages of all that. On a neat graph. Numbers are so cool.
I've just had a thought - Mike divided by zero = LOTS of Mikes! Hahahahaha! That's a good thing of course, as he's a very good sort :)
Made me giggle anyhow - but then maybe that's my strange accountants like sense of humour - HAHAHAHAHAHA
Because bacon tastes good?
Happy New Year!
Um, #3 is SOOOOOOOOO gross to me too! I hate chicken grissle. Ewwwww. Can't even write it. However bacon is divine. :)
That stinks about his computer. Mine went on the fritz too and I had to get a new one. Ah well.
Were you on the road with the dog today? I passed someone moving at a pretty good clip just before Timmie's headed east. And then just past the hospital on my way back.
If so, I commend you for your bravery with the way the wind is today.
Yup that was me and Toby! :) :) Was it ever nice to turn around and have the wind at my back! WHEEEEE!!! If I had a larger jacket on, I could have spread my arms and taken off like a bird. :) :) :)
