You know, it sounds like Julie won't be updating her blog while at camp. Of course, she's got more important things to do, like kick ass and make a ton of new friends. To say nothing of eat and sleep.

I've been doing some research to figure out which camp she is going to, since she didn't mention. I figure, how many camps can there be in Arizona, in February?? Hmmmm. There's lots.

While looking, I found this link that might amuse you. Since Julie isn't here to do that, I figure somebody has to step up to the plate and keep her blog house warm.

Oh Julie...have a great time at camp!! I hope you have awesome weather and really kick some butt, meet some cool people, and learn a lot. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Are you going to Tuscon? Are you climbing Mt. Lemon?????? If so, I'm totally jealous.

You know your dating a triathlete when

"I am an outdoors type of person." Really means: I train in any type of weather. If it's raining, snowing, 90 degrees w/100 percent humidity, or winds gusting at 30 mph. I don't want to hear any complaints because I will still train in it and you're just a big wuss for complaining about it.

Yes Jules we need to hear all the little tips you learn while you are away:)

Hey Julie, you're probably right this very moment in the middle of a long ride to flatness via foreverville. I just finished a nice little lunch, and had an extra cookie for you. Chocolate chip. mmmmmm. Special delivery via mental express. Hope it arrives at a good time.

To keep you amused, here's why triathletes are bad dates. Scroll down a bit.

I'm overwhelmed by the amount of homework I have to do between now and March 6th.

I'm sleepy, but not as sleepy as you probably will be at the end of the week.

Oh yeah, and I ate 2 cinnamon buns today.

i'm pretty sure they have internet cafe's out there jules. and i'm pretty sure you are going to have to stop and grab a coffee on one of your 200 km training rides, in which you could update your blog and tell us you are having a fabulous time and don't miss any of us. seriously.

:P

Hey Julie, you're probably deep into camp now, working harder than ever, showing people how we do it up here in real weather. Do you miss the headwinds?

Thought of you during my 1.5 hr run today when the going got tough at one point. Was starting to slow down, and then it came to me. 'Would Julie slow down? NO!' So I ran harder, and ran through it. In celebration I'm having a great Nanimo Bar.

Hey Julie! I am sure you are loving the training camp, the warm weather and the hard work! You are going to kick ass this year with your new training regime and coaching. I can't wait to cheer you on at IMC!!

I keep reading that getting your rest is an important part of training. Are they letting you rest properly at camp? I suspect not. So I had a nap. I just woke up a few minutes ago. It's so peaceful snoozing in the sun with a kitty on your lap.

Susi said...

dude, is it like totally warm there? cause it's sooo warm in BC at the parental units. really, we should just hang here in the spring. of course that would mean figuring out where the heck to ride around here...

so how's camp. still waiting for a post... tap tap tap.

Susi said...

hmm, what's with jenna craving pickles anyways...jenna...if you start craving ice cream too then i'm going to get worried. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Keith said...

Susi!! As if Jenna doesn't need any *more* on her plate!

Jenna said...

Seriously. If I was craving icecream.....And pickles I would be on oprah saying.... WTF? How did THAT get in there?

Is today the last day of camp, or is it a travel day? You said you'd be back on the 22nd. It's now a few minutes after 9am on the 21st. So that means only 15 hours till you post a blog update, right? (counts on fingers.)

You realize, of course, Julie, that we've been thinking of nothing else but how your camp experience has gone. We've hoped for the best for you, sent down energy and encouragement, in the unlikely chance you might need it, but mainly so you would know that we haven't forgotten about you.

So the clock is ticking on the blog update. We're waiting with baited breath. We're in pins and needles, tenterhooks, awaiting anxiously for news. You perceive us totally agog with curiousity. We're all ears (and eyes, actually.) Over to you!!
