Emerging From the Darkness...

All the traveling and training I'd been doing finally caught up with me on the drive back from Stony Plain. I've spent the last week fighting the good fight and horking many, many loogies in the process. 8 bowls of chicken soup and 4 boxes of Kleenex later...I went for an easy swim today! YAY!!!

Chicken salad I forced myself to eat because I knew it was good for me...although all I wanted to do was dive into something greasy and fat and something that would have made me feel ten times worse.

Still not 100%, but am getting better every day. :) :) :)

My new purple snuggle bear -- My Mom came by to drop him off. He's helped me get better! :) :)

I'm glad to hear you're getting better. And grateful there are no pics of expelled loogies or burst blisters.

I like the bear best - but then I would! Good to hear you're getting back onto top form - take your time and make sure you get "properly" better - it'll be worth it in the long run!

ohhh no! I totally feel your pain on the sickness. I once met someone who said being sick is her ticket to eat whatever the heck she wants since she usually eats pretty healthy otherwise. I then watched her proceed to order and down an entire plate of fries for dinner. Not sure how that motto is working out for her...

Love the bear; moms knows best :)

Feel better!

I second what Cath said. Get all the way better before you hit the gas pedal again!
The rest will do you good, just try and keep your mind occupied :)

Julie!
I've had the SAME cold. Honestly, I don't know how my nose hasn't fallen right off. I'm dying over here! I'm actually happy to hear that I'm not the only one. :) Feel better soon! My head still feels like a bowling ball!

Julie - just found out I have a sinus infection... if your head is throbbing, especially when you bend over, go to the dr!!! I've been oozing green stuff for the past week and it's gotta go! Off to penticton after co-race directing the Canmore Tri tomorrow! Hope you feel better soon!
