Caution: Male Cleaning Change Room

That was the sign posted on the door of the women's change room this morning. Someone had forgotten to take the sign down from last night...

I didn't think much of it until after my swim when I was showering. An aqua-fit lady was a little late getting to the pool and came rushing into the change room -- when she saw me soaped up and in the buff she had the strangest expression on her face. A mixture of alarm/shock/surprise/concern was in her eyes.

The acoustics in the communal shower are terrible -- someone can be standing right in front of you and you can't hear a word they are saying. She was frantically trying to ask me something and there I was unconcerned and and taking my time.

I finally pieced together that the "Male in Change Room" sign was still on the door. Hahahahahahahahaha!! We had a good laugh about that. No wonder she was giving me the oddest look. Hahahahahahaha!

In other news --- BIG news today....

I CAN BREATHE!!!!!

Today was my first go at my inhaler-thingie and Holy Doodly it was like I was reborn! I could actually SWIM the entire time and BREATHE hard without whooping and wheezing. What a feeling! I was giddy! I still am. I am so excited to go for a run....

That does it. Chrissie's reign is over. We will have a new champ.

No seriously. Julie already swims almost as fast as Jenna, and runs like the wind. There was just this really alarming wheezing noise. You could hear her coming down the track....

You've met some of the most interesting people while naked in the shower at the pool. (ah, not me, by the way, more's the pity) Maybe you've got a new model for a social networking group.

Hahahahahaha -- I was huffing and whooping at that track workout that's for sure. LMAO!!!

yes, a little more o2 goes a long way doesn't it?? Glad you figured that one out. NOW - get a couple of inhalers in spring and have one that stays with your bike, one for swim and one for run gear - trust me I am always caught without one.

Thanks for the tip, Jenna -- I thought that was so hilarious when I started coughing a little and you popped up from the living room and pointed at me saying, "That's what I'm talking about." LOL!!!

Hilarious anecdote. Awesome that you can breathe! You are really gonna smoke the race courses this year (BTW, love the word "cream" that you commented on my last post-LOL).

I have some other BIG news - your banana cake was GORGEOUS - Freshies, over, Julie's on her way!

Great to swim together yesterday - you'll be beating Rebecca Adlington to the finish line (Olympic 800m champion) before you know it :)

Cath -- Thank you SO much for taking the time to help me out with my swimming. You are an amazing and articulate teacher -- you know JUST how to explain things.

It was so helpful to watch you swim -- Blogger world: If you guys want to see an excellent and SUPER FAST swimmer, watch Cath!!! She's a frigging fish and makes swimming look so effortless, elegant. AWESOME!!!

I had so much fun -- we even got in trouble with the lifeguard. Hahahahahahaahah!! Mike did get his streudal after all -- I gobbled mine up on the way home. :) :) :) Thanks, my friend -- for everything! :) :) :)

Hey it's always a HUGE pleasure! And you're soooo much further down the road than you were last year, so imagine where you'll be next year - how exciting is that?!

thanks for the compliments - effortless though eh - haha - you don't see and hear the lungs! Although I'm quite sure I'm not as good as you suggest, makes a girl feel good when she's lying on the sofa with a bad back :)

Have a stormer day, my wonderful buddy!

you put that sign on the door so no one steals your towel again!

You probably got in trouble with the lifeguard for heating up the water too much. Or scorching the tiles from your flip turn push offs.
