Calling all triathletes!

Does anyone out there in the blogging world know where I could either borrow/rent/purchase a bike travel case? I'm flying to Arizona in February and am putting out the call now!

The lucky person who lends me their bike case will receive the following prizes:

1. A weekend stay at my place -- you can use my pad as a base for skiing in Fernie or Castle Mountain, or whatever you choose to do!

2. My signature homemade lasagna and for dessert, my famous apple and cheese torte.

3. Free snuggles from my two dogs and two cats.

4. As much coffee as your heart desires!

:) :) :)

If anyone could help me out (or know someone who could), I'd love you forever and forever.

Thanks guys!!

:) :) :) :)

hmm...the place to stay for skiing, the lasagna and dessert and coffee are almost worth buying one just to lend you!

I know that Tri It in Calgary will rent a travel box to you. I'm fairly certain most bike shops rent them out as well.

But you can also safely ship your bike in a standard cardboard bike box.

If I were you I would chat with your fantastic bike guy and ask him for a box and he can tell you how to box it up for travel.

If I had one to loan you I would.

OMG - Arizona in Feb - what you doing over there, training camp or something?? - sounds exciting!

Now I do have a bike bag - BUT it's in the UK, so that's no good to you! First time I travelled with a bike though, I rented one from a local shop......they're usually pretty good at getting you sorted. Gord would definitely be a best bet though I reckon....

i'm totally not helping you out cause i get to do all that anyways, LOL.

kidding. as most people have mentioned, typically they are available for rent from bike/tri stores. bow cycle does for sure. maybe check the shops in lethbridge if gord doesn't have any?

I am in the same boat as your Julie. I contacted a LBS and they told me they have a ton of the cardboard variety which is what I am going with it. Just going to make sure I wrap everything as best as I can in bubble wrap and/or rags.

Looks like you have lots of help with this one. Our local tri-club owns a few and members can use them as we need to. How many tri clubs are there in Crowsnest Pass...? kidding...
